Volunteer? Me? Absolutely! But why?

Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12

God has blessed each of us to be a blessing to others.

Here are just a few reasons to get involved in ministry at Immanuel and our community:

  • To help others
  • To build friendships and have fun
  • To exercise your gifts or skills
  • To be an agent of change
  • To realize your life purpose
  • To be a role model for the next generation
  • To be a part of a close-knit team

Volunteer Opportunities

Immanuel Lutheran can help you to be a part of the body of Christ through all kinds of volunteer opportunities. We want to help you find your ministry, whether it's by helping with Vacation Bible School, serving as an usher on Sunday, joining one of our ministry teams or aiding in mission work at home or abroad.

Here is a list of some of the opportunities for you to get involved.

Let us know that you would like to volunteer!

  • Nursery Help

Do you love little kids? Would you like to help young parents grow in faith? Each Sunday morning, we offer Adult Education opportunities in the Social Hall. To encourage young couples with small children to attend these classes, we want to offer childcare in the nursery during Sunday School (8:30-9:15 a.m.) and during worship as well (9:30-10:30 a.m.). Would you be willing to help occasionally with this ministry?

  • COFFEE FELLOWSHIP

If hospitality is your talent, sign up to prepare and serve coffee and treats after Sunday worship! We supply the cups, tableware and machines - you can bring whatever treats you'd like to share! We typically have 30 to 50 people down in the Social Hall after worship for fellowship time.

  • Readers & Greeters & Ushers

Whether you have a great speaking voice, a welcoming handshake, or desire to be a great host or hostess on Sunday mornings, we need your assistance! We would not have a great worship experience without readers, greeters and ushers!

  • Sunday School Teachers & Youth Event Leaders

Each Sunday morning, we are thankful for the teachers who help young minds discover the truth and abundance of God's love through engaging Sunday School classes! We also appreciate volunteers to assist and lead youth events!
